What is the ideal age to have a breast lift?
While there is no “correct” age to have a breast lift procedure, an experienced Geisinger physician can let you know if it is an ideal time to have a breast lift. Generally, it is a procedure performed on middle-aged and older women, and is recommended for women who are done having children to avoid the effects that breast feeding can have on chest appearance. 

Will a breast lift change my bra size?
While breast lift is performed to minimize sagging and add a more youthful contour to breasts, it is not a procedure recommended to strictly increase breast size. However, after breast lift, some women may find that their breasts look and feel more voluptuous and end up upgrading. If you are most concerned with increasing your breast size, consider breast augmentation as an alternative to, or in addition to, a breast lift surgery.

What are the risks associated with a breast lift?

Risks or side effects may include asymmetry, anesthesia reaction, hematoma, infection, scarring, nerve damage, and swelling.
